Six biking groups of Gurgaon got together on Sunday for some motor-mouthing, where the only topic of discussion was their mean machines. Mohit Ahuja told us, “This is a unique platform. Never before have six clubs come together, with 40 bikers in attendance. Biking in India has come of age. Till about 8-9 years back, biking was not seen in good light.
Bikers were seen as reckless. And here, we are trying to change that stereotype.
Wherever you go now, to any bikers’ meet, they are now more socially responsible. They are talking about safe driving, how to take care of their bikes and so on.” Amritika Phool was the only lady biker here, and her son, too, rides for passion. “Biking is freedom, it’s passion. It’s total azaadi!” she told us.
